Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Service:

• Account information: email address and password when you create an account (authentication is provided by Supabase).
• Profile information: username, display name, and optional profile photo (avatar). Username and avatar may appear with your public reviews.
• Content you submit: product reviews, review status (for example, boycotting), tags, comments, and product barcodes you scan or look up.
• Device permissions: with your permission, camera access for barcode scanning and photo library or camera access for profile photos.
• Support requests: name, email, topic, and message if you contact us through the website support form.
• Purchase / donation information: if you make an in-app donation, purchase receipts and related identifiers are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We may associate donation status with your account.
• Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, and performance data via Sentry (may include device and app context).

2. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Create and manage your account and profile
• Display community reviews and related product information
• Look up product data from barcodes
• Process voluntary donations
• Respond to support requests
• Monitor reliability, security, and abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the Service. We require these providers to protect user data in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage
• Open Food Facts: product metadata lookups by barcode (public product database)
• Sentry: crash and performance monitoring
• RevenueCat and Apple / Google: in-app purchases and donations

Reviews and related profile information you choose to publish are visible to other users of the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Service and our users.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain account, profile, and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We retain diagnostics and support records for a reasonable period to operate and secure the Service, then delete or anonymize them when no longer needed.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us at stansbery_@outlook.com. We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention requirements. Public reviews may be anonymized or removed when your account is deleted.

You can revoke device permissions (camera, photos) at any time in your device settings. You can stop using the Service and request account deletion as described above.

5. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

6. International users

The Service may be hosted and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
